Scripture Writing Plans

Compiled by Heather Gross

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."  II Timothy 16-17

The following 30-day plans are designed to encourage believers through the writing of Scripture.  I encourage you to pray before you begin each day, read the scripture, write the scripture (without any abbreviations, including punctuation), then read what you've written. Writing out God's Word not only helps us with memorization, but it also encourages us to look closer at what each verse is saying. All Scripture has been compiled using the King James Version.

Update from Heather:
I have thoroughly enjoyed putting together and sharing Scripture writing plans for the past 4 years (since November 2020!). I have learned so much, not only by writing out the verses, but also from the study that went in to putting the plans together.

In the last year the ministry load with Open Door Ministries has increased dramatically and I have taken on extra responsibilities at our church-in the coming year I will be leading a ladies Bible study as well as planning ladies meetings throughout the year. As hard as it is for me to admit it, I have come to realize that I cannot do it all. I think sometimes the Lord brings things into our lives for only a season and I believe that the Scripture writing plan season is coming to an end for me so that I can have more time to focus on my husband, my home, our ministry, and the ministries that God has allowed me to be a part of at our church.

I want to say THANK YOU to those of you who have faithfully used these plans these past 4 years. You will never know how much of an encouragement it was for me to hear and see the impact that it made. I will keep an archive on our website of all of these plans in case someone would like to find one and use it in the future.
